Medvi Alternatives (2026): 6 GLP-1 Options Compared

Six alternatives to Medvi's all-inclusive GLP-1 program ($99/month promo), from welludr at $49 to SHED's money-back guarantee, with the trade-off for each.

Clinically checked · Our review process

Key points

  • Medvi's $99/month promo (reg. $199) includes video visits, a dietician and coaching. Every alternative gives up part of that support.
  • For a lower price: welludr ($49/$89, best rate on a 12-month plan), embody ($69/$119, no commitment) and HealthRx ($99 on a 12-month prepaid plan, overnight shipping).
  • For more medication choice or a different format: altRx adds the cheapest brand-name shelf (Ozempic $1,149, Zepbound $1,249, Wegovy $1,579) plus BNPL; DirectMeds charges a flat $147 and offers needle-free drops.
  • For more support, the only step up is SHED ($199/$299): formal coaching and a guarantee to lose 5% in 120 days or get your money back.

What you lose when you leave Medvi

Every Medvi alternative trades away some of Medvi's support layer. For one all-inclusive price, now $99 a month on promotion (regularly $199), Medvi provides video visits with providers rated 4.3 across 14,987 Trustpilot reviews, plus a bundled dietician and care coaching. At the promo price, few rivals are much cheaper, so know what you are giving up before you switch.

People who leave Medvi usually fall into one of three groups, and each has a different best match:

  • Price shoppers who realize they are self-directed.
  • Shelf shoppers who want brand-name medication.
  • Logistics shoppers who want faster delivery or a needle-free format.

GLP-1 (Compounded)

“MEDVi offers a lot of assistance with the RN, Provider. and Coaching Support - I like that assistance. However, they need to ensure for a solid audio-video connection to see whom you're speaking with (there's too much FRAUD going on today) especially when it comes to your health. It's very important to see and get there credentials/whom you're speaking with about your health - you know, the HIPPA ACT Policy. Otherwise, I really enjoy this Rx, it really curves your appetite. My PRAYER is NO side effects so that I can continue and accomplish my goal. I started this program in March 2026. It cost too much not to receive stellar service.”

Caution is advised

“Caution is advised. The operational efficiency of this company is significantly lagging, causing an impediment to my regular medication intake schedule. Regrettably, their customer support inadequacies persist, coupled with a lack of responsibility for service deficiencies. In addition, their pricing surpasses that of competitors. It is my recommendation to refrain from engaging with this establishment due to their unreliability in ensuring timely delivery of essential medications for weekly GLP-1 dosages.”

Lots of confusion and delays

“I transitioned to Medvi from another company and have been using GLP-1s for over a year. Medvi didn't review my history and continuously sent me a level 1 prescription when I needed a level 5. It took weeks to get each one resolved, including multiple calls/emails with customer service, and having to explain why I didn't want to pay more money for the "extra prescriptions". I paid for three months, but will not be renewing after these months are over.”

I signed up for medication and was...scammed

“I signed up for medication and was charged without ever having spoken to a medical professional. They ordered medication that was an incorrect dose. I met with their medical provider and she agreed to change to the correct dose. The change was never made. I called numerous times to correct the problem, I was assured that it was corrected. It never was. I called to cancel the order and request a refund. I was told I would have a refund in 5-10 days. I didn't receive confirmation of the refund and was getting notified that the prescription was being processed. I called again and was told to ignore the notification that it was cancelled and I would receive a refund. The order was shipped to me. It is not labeled with the correct dosage and the company is now refusing the refund I was promised. I have been on the phone and in email communication almost daily. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with MEDVI. They are not trustworthy. They will lie to you and refuse to honor their word.”

Medvi shady practices.

“Medvi promised GLP 1 medication for $179.00 monthly with a prepaid yearly subscription. Unfortunately the term was not a complete year. After just 11 shipments they renewed my subscription without any advance notice. They did not give me a choice. The amount I was charged previously was $2,148.01. If you divide this amount by 11 it does not come out to $179.00. When I did discover the charge applied to my card, I contacted Medvi that same day to cancel my subscription. They replied that they have cancelled it the following August in 2027. They would not allow me to cancel the current subscription. Not until I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, and my State Attorney General did they finally refund my subscription. I would not deal with this company. Even though the medication was supposed to be monthly, the dosage that I was prescribed was two injections weekly. The dosage amount and the amount that they sent did not last for 8 injections for the month.”

Cheaper than Medvi: welludr, embody or HealthRx

welludr sets the price floor among reliable providers: $49 a month for semaglutide and $89 for tirzepatide, the same price at every dose, with a coach included and a weight-loss warranty. The best rate requires a 12-month plan.

embody charges $69 for semaglutide and $119 for tirzepatide and gives you full freedom in return: flat monthly pricing, no commitment, free 1-2 day shipping, and a full refund if a provider does not approve you.

HealthRx charges $99 a month for semaglutide on a 12-month prepaid plan ($1,188 at checkout), is LegitScript-certified, and ships free overnight in cold-chain packaging. It matches Medvi's current promo price and sits $100 below Medvi's $199 regular rate, with faster delivery, but you commit a year up front to a newer brand. Medvi GLP-1 telehealth experience breakdown

“Within a few days, I heard back from a licensed provider... Most of the communication happened through secure messaging.”

“I did have some mild nausea when my dose increased, but it was manageable and improved after a short time... Around the middle of the year, progress slowed and I hit a plateau. I reached out through the messaging system, and my provider adjusted my dose, which helped me start moving again.”

u/Canadian_Insulin

“Clinically speaking, losing around 10 to 15 percent of starting body weight over a year is very much within the expected and healthy range for semaglutide treatment.”

My 2026 MEDVI review after using it for a full year

“The first thing I noticed was that my appetite felt different in a calm manageable way rather than feeling like I was constantly fighting hunger.”

“Over the course of the year I lost just over 40 pounds and more importantly I've been able to maintain that loss without feeling burnt out.”

Brand-name Wegovy or needle-free drops instead of Medvi

altRx fits if brand-name medication might be in your future. Next to its $89/$149 compounded plans (flat at every dose), it carries Ozempic at $1,149, Zepbound at $1,249 and Wegovy at $1,579, the lowest brand prices in our ranking, plus Buy Now, Pay Later.

DirectMeds covers two gaps: a flat $147 a month for either medication (its tirzepatide is $19 below Medvi's $166 promo and $152 below the $299 regular rate) and the only needle-free sublingual drops in this comparison, shipped free in 1-2 days with no membership.

Lowest-priced GLP-1 plans

The cheapest published plans, sorted from lowest price, with the terms listed under every price.

More support than Medvi: SHED's coaching and guarantee

If you want more structure than Medvi, there is one option: SHED at $199/$299 (20% off the first month). Every plan includes formal health coaching, HSA/FSA is accepted, and SHED backs the program with the firmest promise we have found: lose 5% of your body weight in 120 days or get your money back. It is the accountability choice, a provider with money riding on your result.

Is GLP-1 Treatment Right for You?

GLP-1 medication is prescription-only: a licensed clinician has to decide it is appropriate, and it is not a fit for everyone. Side effects are possible, and they tend to show up in the first few weeks while your body adapts.

Results are usually best when the medication is paired with simple daily habits, such as balanced meals and regular movement.

For both safety and lasting progress, pick a provider that screens you properly before prescribing and keeps following up once treatment starts.
