welludr Alternatives (2026): What $49 Doesn't Buy

No provider undercuts welludr's $49/month GLP-1 plan, so every alternative wins on something else. Six rivals compared on the one thing each does better.

Clinically checked · Our review process

Key points

  • No provider in our ranking is cheaper than welludr's $49/month semaglutide or $89 tirzepatide, so every alternative competes on something besides price.
  • embody ($69/$119) is the no-commitment option: flat monthly pricing, free 1-2 day shipping, LegitScript-certified, and a full refund if not approved, for $240 a year more than welludr ($828 vs $588).
  • HealthRx ($99 on a 12-month prepaid plan) adds overnight cold-chain delivery; altRx ($89/$149) adds the cheapest brand-name shelf and BNPL; DirectMeds ($147 flat) is the only needle-free drops option.
  • For more support, Medvi ($99/$166 promo) includes video visits and a dietician, and SHED ($199/$299) adds coaching plus a 5%-in-120-days money-back guarantee.

Is anything cheaper than welludr?

No. At $49 a month for semaglutide and $89 for tirzepatide, welludr is the cheapest provider in our ranking. Every legitimate alternative competes on a different point: commitment terms, delivery speed, medication choice, depth of support, or format.

So the better question is not "what is cheaper than welludr?" but "what would I pay extra for?" The sections below match each answer to one provider.

I just switched providers to Welludr

“After two years with another provider, I took a chance and switched providers to Wellmedr. My first couple shipments were slightly delayed and I contacted their Care team with my concerns. I was personally contacted by Rob, who runs their entire operations at Wellmedr, and he went over and beyond to listen to my concerns and then personally ensured everything was corrected. I've never had such great customer service, so quickly. They have earned a loyal customer moving forward. I would highly recommend Wellmedr to anyone.”

Help did arrive

“I am changing my one star to 3 stars since I did get help with getting back on track. My medication is on the way. I still have to say though that it takes an act of congress to get help. They need to come up with a better system. This should not be stressful and you should receive your medication ON TIME AND WITHOUT CONFUSION every time. I got lucky and mine was processed quickly. The last time it sat at the pharmacy for over a week before it shipped out. They may need to slow down on new customers until they get a system in place to accommodate their current customers. Thank you Rob for helping to get my order on track. Hopefully everything will go smoothly on my next delivery.”

They charge you every 21 days

“First at all, has to say that the tirzepatide it's compound with Glycine, that's the only point that I like it, because with glycine that's not had bad reports like with Vit B. The medical communication care teams it's horrible, that's false they respond fast, never respond, in my case I just have a check in after the first dose, it make feel the company, that they are just selling merchandise, very poor service. The support email, they never answered, I sent them 2 email with not response. I decide to call and CANCEL. They do answer the call and Cancel my subscription. Why I cancel? Because they CHARGE EVERY 21 DAYS, that's mean you pay more more than the medication you get, that's the worst part. I don't know why the people doesn't mention this issue, they said it's for an advanced, but even there policies says that in 365 days period, you are going to pay 18 quotes.... So I decided to cancel, I don't know you, but I treasure my money, and paying for nothing it's not a option”

I placed an order a week ago

“I placed an order a week ago. Everything said approved and moved to shipping the same day. It is 8 days later and all I get is there is a delay in shipping and it should process soon. Definitely feeling like a scam. When I click on website from email, I get a 404 error. No one ever answers the phone. When I contacted support I was told they could not find an account. I did a reply through chat and was informed it is being worked. At this point, I just want a refund and to find a reputable company to get medication.”

No 12-month plan: embody at $69

welludr's best price requires a 12-month plan. embody charges a flat $69 a month for semaglutide ($119 for tirzepatide) with no commitment at all. It also ships free in 1-2 days, tracked and insured, holds LegitScript certification, and refunds you in full if a provider does not approve treatment.

Over a year, that freedom costs $240 ($828 at embody vs $588 at welludr). For anyone not ready to commit, embody is the natural first alternative. The direct comparison is in embody vs welludr.

“I received it right away. They kept me on the 15mg of Tirz I was already on. Very responsive customer service.”

The honest catch, after leaving a previous provider (RemedyMeds) over refill delays: “I've been in it for 8 weeks and I'm only down 1 pound... I ordered a 6 month supply for $1143 from WellMedr trying to avoid the shipping delays of monthly refills but I'm currently looking for another company because I'm not wasting my time for no results.”

Overnight delivery: HealthRx's $1,188 prepaid plan

HealthRx also asks for 12 months, but its selling point is delivery: free overnight cold-chain shipping, lot-tracked to your door, at $99 a month for semaglutide, paid as $1,188 at checkout.

  • Extra cost vs welludr: $600 a year ($1,188 vs $588).
  • What you get: overnight fulfillment and LegitScript certification from a newer brand.
  • Choose it if reliable delivery ranks high for you. Skip it if a lump-sum checkout is a problem.

Lowest-priced GLP-1 plans

The cheapest published plans, sorted from lowest price, with the terms listed under every price.

Brand-name access or needle-free drops: altRx and DirectMeds

altRx ($89/$149, flat at every dose) is the choice for keeping options open. It has the lowest brand-name prices in our ranking (Ozempic $1,149, Zepbound $1,249, Wegovy $1,579) and Buy Now, Pay Later, which suits anyone who expects to move to brand-name.

DirectMeds is the choice for format. It charges a flat $147 for either medication and is the only provider here offering needle-free sublingual drops. If injections are what keep you from starting, no price at welludr solves that; drops might.

Is GLP-1 Treatment Right for You?

GLP-1 medication is prescription-only: a licensed clinician has to decide it is appropriate, and it is not a fit for everyone. Side effects are possible, and they tend to show up in the first few weeks while your body adapts.

Results are usually best when the medication is paired with simple daily habits, such as balanced meals and regular movement.

For both safety and lasting progress, pick a provider that screens you properly before prescribing and keeps following up once treatment starts.

More human support than welludr: Medvi and SHED

welludr includes a coach, but it runs a lean model. If support is what makes you succeed:

  • Medvi ($99/$166 promotional, all-inclusive) offers video visits with providers rated 4.3 by 14,987 Trustpilot reviewers, plus a dietician on every plan.
  • SHED ($199/$299, 20% off the first month, HSA/FSA) adds formal coaching and the toughest guarantee we track: lose 5% of your body weight in 120 days or get your money back. That is a stronger promise than welludr's warranty.
